AWS stands for Amazon Web Services .It is one of the cloud services offered by Amazon.AWS offers various services in many forms that can be used to create and deploy any kind of application in the cloud.

The services that are mentioned are supposed to be working with each other and hence the applications that are brought out as a result are highly sophisticated and highly scalable.

AWS provides us with a mix of platform as a service(Paas),infrastructure as a service(Iaas) and packaged software as a service(SaaS) AWSwas launched in 2006 by amazon.com and it was built to manage online retail operations.With AWS came the new concept pay-as-you-go computing model which provides users with storage,compute and throughput.

AWS provides a wide global network.It is available across 69 zones within 22 geographic regions around the world. An AZ signifies a location that contains a lot of physical data centers, whereas a region is a group of AZs in geographic proximity connected by low-latency network links.

There are more than 100 services include the AWS portfolio, including those that include compute, databases, infrastructure management, application development and security. These services, by category, include:

There are virtual servers called as instances which is provided by the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud.This is also referred to as EC2.This EC2 offers loads of instance types with various sizes and capacities which suit specific workload types and applications which are accelerated computing jobs and those which are memory intensive. To maintain instance health and performance AWS provides an Auto Scaling tool so that we can dynamically scale the capacity.

AWS offers an amazing storage service called the AMAZON SIMPLE STORAGE SERVICE(S3).It provides a scalable scalable storage of data ,The files stored by an IT professional would be almost 5 GB.Since the data is huge they are stored in the form of objects called S3.The data is stored in these buckets so that they are organized. Amazon Glacier is used for long term cold storage.

Block level storage of data also is possible with Amazon Elastic Block Store.The cloud based file storage is provided by Amazon Elastic File. The data can be migrated to the cloud through the storage transport devices such as the snow mobile and the snowball.AWS Storage gateway is used to enable on premises apps to access the cloud data

An option for database services are also provided through Amazon Relational Database Service which has services like Oracle,MYSQL,SQL Server and also Amazon’s high performance database called the Amazon Aurora.

For real time applications the AWS customer can use the Amazon ElastiCache and DynamoDBAccelerator .There is a datawarehouse as well which helps the data analysts to perform business intelligence tasks and it is offered by the Amazon Red Shift.

There are various tools and services provided by the AWS to help the users migrate their apps, databases, servers and data onto the cloud available for the public . A location to manage and monitor the migrations from on premises to the cloud is provided by the AWS migration hub. Once in the cloud, EC2 Systems Manager helps an IT team configure on-premises servers and AWS instances.To help the IT team to configure on-premises servers and instances the EC2 Systems Manager is of great help.

The Amazon virtual private cloud is used to give the administrator control over the entire virtual network so that it can be used in an isolated section of the AWS cloud. Thereby AWS automatically provides new resources inside a VPC for extra protection.

The network traffic can be balanced by the admins with many tools called as AWS load balancing tools, including a tool called as the Application Load Balancer and Network Load Balancer.There is domain name system provided by the AWS called as the Amazon Route 53 that routes end users to their applications..

AWS Direct Connect is used to establish a dedicated connection from an on-premises data center to the AWS cloud.

AWS Config and AWS Config rules can help the admin to manage and track the cloud resource configuration.There is another tool called as the AWS trusted advisor that would help the IT team to avoid any improperly configured and expensive cloud resource deployments

There are several automation tools that anAn admin can automatethe infrastructure provisioning through the AWS Cloud Formation templates , to automate the infrastructure and system configurations AWS OpsWorks and Chef is used.

Amazon Cloud Watch is used to monitor the resource and the health of an AWS customer.To retain user activity and API ,AWS Cloud Trail is used.

There are a range of services for cloud security, in addition there is AWS Identity and Access Management ,that allows admins to define and manage user access to resources. A user dictionary can also be created with the Amazon Cloud Directory.To connect to the cloud resources or to a Microsoft Active Directory an AWS Directory Service is used.To enable a business to establish and manage policies for multiple AWS accounts am AWS Organizations tool is used.

A variety of big data analytics and application services is offered by AWS. To process large amounts of data a Hadoop framework is used and AWS provides a tool called as the Amazon Elastic Map Reduce

To extract,transform and load jobs AWS glue is used.The Amazon Elastic Search service contains an open source tool called as the Elastic search tool that enables a team to perform application monitoring and log analysis.

Amazon Athena for S3 is used to query the data and to visualize the data a tool known as Amazon Quick Sight is used.

A range of Artificial intelligence model development and delivery platforms are offered by AWS .There are a range of tools called as the Amazon Lex which is used for voice and chatbots.For text to speech translation Amazon Polly is used and Amazon recognition to recognize images.

AWS helps to send bulk email to customers which saves a lot of time.The files are stored securely on the cloud so it can be accessed from any part of the world.Databases such as MYSQL,POSTgreSQL and Oracle are used to store information.Use of Content Delivery Network where static and dynamic files are delivered all around the world.
